Here's why: Cloud fundamentals are broader and more versatile. AZ-900 knowledge transfers to Azure security certs, data certs, and developer certs. It opens more career doors. If you then want AI-specific knowledge, AI-900 becomes easier because your cloud foundation is established.
However, if your sole focus is on AI/ML roles, business analysis, or you're already a non-technical professional who just needs AI literacy — AI-900 standalone is perfectly valid.
