Frequently Asked Questions

ROSE Tech Academy is a technology education platform that curates structured learning paths from trusted providers like Microsoft, Coursera, edX, and CompTIA. We don't create our own courses—instead, we help you find the right resources, in the right order, to build practical skills and earn industry-recognized certifications.
Yes. We participate in affiliate programs with several of our education partners, including Coursera, edX, Udemy, and Amazon. When you enroll in a course through one of our links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects which resources we recommend—see our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.
Start by considering your interests and career goals. If you enjoy problem-solving and protecting systems, Cybersecurity may be a fit. If you like working with numbers and trends, try Data Analytics. Visit our Learning Paths page for a full breakdown of each path, or check out our Career Resources for additional guidance.
For most beginners, we recommend starting with a foundational, vendor-specific certification like Microsoft AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) or AI-900 (AI Fundamentals), or a vendor-neutral option like CompTIA Security+. These are widely recognized, relatively affordable, and don't require prior experience.
It depends on the resource. Many of our recommended resources—including much of Microsoft Learn—are completely free. Others, like certain Coursera specializations or Udemy courses, require payment. We clearly indicate provider and pricing model wherever possible so you can plan your budget.
For questions about our learning paths or website, reach out through our Contact page. For technical support with a specific course or exam, you'll need to contact that provider directly (for example, Microsoft Learn, Coursera, or CompTIA), since we don't administer their courses or exams.
ROSE Tech Academy is an independent education platform. We are not owned by or officially affiliated with Microsoft, but we do participate in Microsoft's learning and certification ecosystem by recommending Microsoft Learn resources and tracking Microsoft certification paths, as we do with several other partners.
You can subscribe using the newsletter form on our homepage, career resources page, or blog. We send updates on new learning paths, certification tips, and career resources. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we never share your email address with third parties.
Yes, ROSE Tech Academy is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. While our learning paths and resources are available to learners anywhere, our team operates on Central Time, which is reflected in our published office hours.
No. Most of our learning paths are designed to start from a beginner level and progress toward professional certifications. Each path page includes a suggested skill level and duration so you can gauge whether it's the right starting point for your current experience.
